E-mail Forwarding
What's e-mail forwarding? Just how does it work? In what instances is it extremely useful?
The term e-mail forwarding refers to an email being forwarded from a receiving address towards a third-party address which isn't listed as a receiver. For example, a customer sends an e-mail from their private mailbox to support@domain.com and as far as they are concerned, this is actually the only receiver. When there is an active forwarding, the email can be sent to owner@domain.com, for instance, even though the customer in no way intended the message to be sent there and might not be aware about the existence of this mailbox. There are several reasons for applying such forwarding. For example, if you've got many emails it is easy to forward them all to a one mailbox, which can make keeping track of email messages easier and will allow you to receive e-mails and respond to them timely. The function could also be used in case a number of people should receive a copy of an e-mail message delivered to a general mail box.
E-mail Forwarding in Shared Website Hosting
The Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with all our shared website hosting plans, will let you forward any email in the account to a second one with ease. This can be done either during the creation of a brand new email address or any time later on in case you decide that you require this feature. During the process, you'll be able to consider if you want a backup of the e-mails to be maintained on the server. This way, you will have a backup and you'll avoid the possibility to lose an email if the forwarding is to an outside address, which is briefly unavailable. This feature can be enabled and disabled whenever you want, and when you use e-mails for critical matters, it is better to use it, because no data of the email messages will be kept on the server in case the option is not enabled. In case you decide that you do not need forwarding any longer, it will take only a mouse click to disable it.
